It’s the result of a partnership between Mercedes and Renault and is designed to be suitable for passenger and business use – a Citan Tourer is available with 7-seats for passengers. Underneath the bonnet there is a 1.5-litre turbo diesel with two power outputs, 89 or 109bhp. Both units are capable of returning mid-60’s in terms of miles per gallon and just 112 and 115g/km of CO2 is given out respectively. All engines come with ‘BlueEfficiency’ technology as standard, Mercedes’ fuel saving technology that utilises start/stop technology, enhanced rolling resistance tyres and intelligent alternator and battery management. To drive, the Citan feels much like a car and benefits from a quiet engine and cruise control.
