Posted yesterdayKorean manufacturer SsangYong is a brand very much on the rise, and with the new SsangYong Korando lease, they’ve produced a seriously tempting proposition for Synergy’s customers. This model is actually the 4th generation of Ssangyong Korando lease deals, but it’s fair to say that this is really the first time that the car can be considered a worthy adversary to other small SUVs on the market.
With its bold exterior, the SsangYong Korando car lease deals strike a confident pose from the outset and it’s easy to see why we’ve received an increasing amount of interest in this vehicle. Pretty looks may get you noticed, but it’s ultimately what’s inside that counts. We’re pleased to let you know that SsangYong has done a fantastic job with both the engineering and equipment levels though, with a good standard of quality throughout that makes it a worthy rival to its more famous compatriots – the Hyundai Tucson and the Kia Sportage.
SsangYong has downsized the diesel engine for this generation of the Korando, with the old 2.2-litre making way for a newer, more efficient 1.6-litre unit. Crucially, this engine is still well capable of towing two tonnes behind it, while maintaining impressive fuel economy figures when running around town. SsangYong Korando leasing is also available as a 1.5-litre petrol, and depending on your choice of model you can opt for front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the latter being ideal if you want to tow, or have a requirement for extra grip in almost any situation.
Answering a criticism of drivers of the previous generation of SsangYong Korando, the company’s engineers have worked on improving the body control in corners, meaning the new Korando is slightly stiffer and far more composed down twisty British B-roads.
Inside the cabin, SsangYong has attempted – and succeeded – to bring a trendier, modern feel to the cabin with horizontal lines across the dashboard, large touchscreen infotainment system and piano black plastics giving it that contemporary ‘lounge’ feel. In top-spec models, there’s even the option for mood lighting with 34 different shades of lighting. A 10.25-inch digital display is also available in place of the usual dials, part of the ‘Blaze’ infotainment system that’s an option on some models and standard on others.
