Posted 3 months agoThe Nissan Primastar has long been a practical choice in the medium van market. Previously known as the Nissan NV300, it was rebranded as the Primastar in 2021. Sharing its platform with the Renault Trafic and Vauxhall Vivaro, the latest generation brings improved comfort, upgraded technology and more efficient diesel engines.
It’s available in panel van and crew van formats, making Nissan Primastar leasing a solid option for a range of businesses.

Nissan Primastar leasing is available in two trim levels:
- Acenta: The entry-level option with everyday essentials including manual air conditioning, rear parking sensors, an 8-inch touchscreen and smartphone integration.
- Tekna: The higher trim adds more comfort and tech, featuring automatic air conditioning, satellite navigation, a rear-view camera, 17-inch alloy wheels and extra driver assistance systems.
The Nissan Primastar is powered by a 2.0-litre dCi diesel engine available in four outputs - 110bhp, 130bhp, 150bhp and 170bhp. Lower-powered versions come with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the 150bhp and 170bhp engines are also available with a 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) for smoother gear changes and easier driving in traffic. With torque up to 380Nm, the Primastar handles heavier loads and towing with ease.
Fuel economy reaches up to around 42mpg (WLTP). CO₂ emissions start from approximately 188g/km. All variants include start/stop technology and ECO mode to help reduce fuel use and overall running costs.
Inside, the Nissan Primastar is designed for practicality and comfort. The cabin layout is functional and easy to navigate, with a driving position that offers good visibility. There’s generous cabin storage, including a compartment under the passenger seat and additional overhead and door storage.
The fold-down central seat back creates a mobile workstation with a built-in clipboard and laptop holder. Acenta models come with manual air conditioning and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Tekna versions upgrade to automatic air conditioning, satellite navigation, and additional trim detailing.
The Nissan Primastar is equipped with a strong set of driver assistance systems designed to support safer driving across busy roads and job sites. Standard features include rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera for easier manoeuvring in tight areas.
Higher trims introduce advanced systems such as blind spot warning, lane departure warning, driver attention alert, traffic sign recognition and intelligent speed assist.

Yes - you can customise the Nissan Primastar with your business branding or accessories during the lease. However, you'll need permission from the finance provider beforehand. It's important to ensure that any changes can be removed without damaging the van when it’s returned at the end of the lease.
