Policy statement

Synergy Automotive Limited, trading as Synergy Car Leasing, is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. This policy supports Synergy Car Leasing’s Modern Slavery Statement and sets out our zero‑tolerance approach to modern slavery within our business and supply chains.

This policy applies to all employees, directors, contractors, suppliers, business partners and any third parties acting on behalf of Synergy Car Leasing.

Our commitment

Synergy Automotive Limited, trading as Synergy Car Leasing is committed to acting in an ethical manner, with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and is committed to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery or human trafficking, taking place within our business, partnerships or supply chain.

Our commitment to our clients is very clear, we will always treat people in our businesses, partnerships or supply chain fairly. Synergy Car Leasing expects its employees, suppliers and business partners to act responsibly and to comply with the requirements of this statement.

Modern slavery and human trafficking are criminal offences and serious violations of fundamental human rights. Modern slavery can take many forms, including slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking.

Due diligence and risk management

Synergy Car Leasing takes a risk‑based approach to identifying and managing the risk of modern slavery. This includes:

  • setting clear expectations of suppliers and business partners regarding ethical standards and compliance with applicable labour laws;
  • reserving the right to conduct proportionate due diligence or seek assurances where modern slavery risk is identified;
  • taking appropriate action where concerns are raised, including engaging with suppliers to address issues or terminating relationships where necessary.

Raising concerns

All employees, suppliers and business partners are expected to report any concerns or suspicions relating to modern slavery or human trafficking. Concerns may be raised with a line manager, the Compliance Manager, or via the Firm’s whistleblowing procedure. All reports will be taken seriously, investigated appropriately and handled in confidence. Individuals raising concerns in good faith will not suffer retaliation.

Breaches

Any breach of this policy will be treated seriously. Where breaches are identified, Synergy Car Leasing will take appropriate action, which may include disciplinary action, remediation, reporting to relevant authorities, or termination of contractual relationships.

Responsibilities

The Directors have overall responsibility for this policy and for ensuring it is implemented and reviewed at least annually. All employees are responsible for understanding and complying with this policy and for remaining alert to the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains.

Training and Awareness

Synergy Car Leasing provides appropriate awareness and training to ensure that employees understand the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking and are able to identify and report concerns. Training and guidance are proportionate to role and risk and support colleagues in recognising indicators of modern slavery within our operations and supply chains.

This helps ensure that concerns are escalated promptly and managed in line with this policy and the Firm’s whistleblowing arrangements.
