Audi A2 Business & Personal Car Leasing Offers
The A2 e-tron is Audi's new entry point into fully electric motoring, sitting below the Q4 e-tron as a compact five-door hatchback. It was unveiled in Paris in September 2026, UK order books opened in October 2026, and first deliveries are scheduled for early 2027. Short overhangs and a compact footprint suit town and city driving, while a 2.77-metre wheelbase and a choice of 3 batteries give it the range for longer motorway journeys.
The original A2 of the early 2000s was known for its economy, and the new model carries that efficiency-first approach into the electric era. Audi quotes energy consumption as low as 12.8kWh per 100km, the lowest of any Audi production model. Even the entry-level Technik trim includes heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and adaptive cruise control as standard.
Versions fitted with the 52kWh and 61kWh batteries qualify for Band 2 of the Government's Electric Car Grant, which can help bring down the cost of an eligible A2 lease.

Engine & Performance
Every Audi A2 e-tron is rear-wheel drive, powered by a single electric motor and a single-speed automatic transmission. Audi offers 3 battery sizes: 52kWh, 61kWh, and 84kWh, all quoted as gross capacity.
The 52kWh battery is paired with a 168bhp motor producing 350Nm of torque, covering 0-62mph in 8.8 seconds. The 61kWh version raises output to 187bhp and cuts the 0-62mph time to 7.9 seconds. The 84kWh battery is offered at 228bhp, reaching 0-62mph in 7.0 seconds, or at 322bhp and 545Nm, which brings the time down to 5.7 seconds. Top speed is 99mph on every version except the 322bhp model, which reaches 124mph.
WLTP range stands at up to 261 miles on the 52kWh battery, up to 310 miles on the 61kWh battery, and up to 397 miles on the 228bhp 84kWh version. The 322bhp version returns up to 386 miles. The 187bhp model is the most efficient in the range, returning up to 4.79 miles per kWh.
DC rapid charging runs at up to 100kW on the 52kWh battery, 105kW on the 61kWh battery, and 183kW on the 84kWh battery. Charging from 10-80% takes around 24, 26, and 29 minutes respectively. A Mode 3 cable for 22kW AC public charging is supplied as standard.
Paddles on the steering wheel select between 3 regenerative braking levels, and moving the gear selector to B activates one-pedal driving. Comfort suspension is standard. Suspension with damper control and progressive steering are fitted as standard on Edition 1 trim and on the 322bhp S line trim. On these versions, Audi drive select adjusts the damping across its comfort, balanced, efficiency, and dynamic modes.
Exterior Features
The A2 e-tron's shape is designed around aerodynamic efficiency, and it's marketed as the most aerodynamic car in Audi's compact line-up. A controllable cool-air intake, a largely enclosed underbody, gap reducers in the wheel arch trims, and aero-optimised wheels all help air pass smoothly around the car. At the front, the headlights and driver assistance sensors sit within a black panel beneath slim daytime running lights. A sweeping roofline ends in a defined rear spoiler, and horizontal LED rear lights emphasise the car's width. Fully electric door handles sit flush in the side profile and open with a light pull on a touch-sensitive surface.
Technik trim has 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and high-beam assist. Sport trim upgrades to 19-inch platinum grey alloy wheels and adds electrically folding, auto-dimming exterior mirrors that include projection lights. S line trim brings its own styling package, made up of sportier bumpers, black exterior detailing and mirror housings, privacy glass, and 19-inch aero-design Audi Sport wheels in matt black. At the top of the range, Edition 1 trim has 20-inch black metallic Audi Sport wheels, Matrix LED headlights that offer 4 selectable digital daytime running light signatures, LED rear lights pro, and acoustic glazing for the front door windows.
7 paint colours are available, including Horizon blue, Pistachio green, and Arrow grey. Arkona white is the standard colour, while the other 6 are available as optional extras. Intense blue and Daytona grey are reserved for S line and Edition 1 trims.
Audi A2 optional extras include a panoramic glass roof covering around 1.6 square metres, which uses a coating to protect occupants from UV rays and excess heat. Matrix LED headlights, LED rear lights pro, and acoustic front door glazing are also available as optional extras on trims below Edition 1. Availability can vary by trim and current manufacturer ordering options.
Interior Features
Inside, a fabric-covered Softwrap surface runs from the dashboard across the door panels and into the rear of the cabin. Every trim has the MMI panoramic display, which combines an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus and a 12.8-inch curved MMI touch display. Audi has moved the gear selector to the steering column, freeing space in the centre console for an actively cooled wireless charging tray that can charge 2 smartphones at once at up to 25W. Audi's Fidlock magnetic fastening system is standard, providing 3 adapters in the centre console for attaching cupholders and storage accessories.
Technik trim includes black cloth seats, heated front seats with 4-way lumbar support, a heated steering wheel, 2-zone climate control, and an ambient lighting package. Sport trim adds 90W USB-C charging for rear passengers and a storage and luggage compartment package, which includes a variable boot floor, a cargo net, and 3 further Fidlock points in the boot. Moving up to S line trim brings front sport seats in cloth and microfibre, a flat-bottomed leather sport steering wheel, and a black headlining. Edition 1 trim adds electrically adjustable front seats in red-stitched microfibre, a driver's seat memory function, and the ambient lighting package plus, which expands the palette to 30 colours.
The boot holds 396 litres, rising to 1,336 litres with the rear seats folded. Versions fitted with the 84kWh battery also gain a 13-litre front storage compartment.
Further Audi A2 optional extras include a Sonos premium sound system using 14 speakers and 660W of amplifier power, and an augmented reality head-up display that projects speed, navigation, and media information into the driver's field of view. The MMI experience pro package adds Audi connected work, giving voice control of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams. Availability can vary by trim and current manufacturer ordering options.
Safety Features
The Audi A2 has not yet been tested by Euro NCAP, so no safety rating is currently available for the model. Every version includes front emergency brake assist, which can intervene to help avoid head-on collisions with vehicles and pedestrians at speeds up to around 52mph. Swerve support helps the driver steer around obstacles between 18mph and 93mph. Turn assist, front cross-traffic assist, lane departure warning, and side assist with exit warning and rear cross-traffic assist are also standard.
A driver attention monitor tracks signs of fatigue, and emergency assist can bring the car to a controlled stop and place an emergency call if the driver stops responding. Intelligent Speed Assist, traffic sign recognition, and a rear seat alert are fitted from Technik trim upwards. Front, side, curtain, and front centre airbags come as standard, alongside i-Size child seat mountings in the front and rear.
Sport trim adds rear emergency brake assist. Edition 1 trim includes proactive occupant protection for the front, sides, and rear, which tightens seat belts and closes windows when it detects an imminent collision. Park assist plus and 3D surround view cameras are also standard on Edition 1 trim. As with all driver assistance systems, these features are designed to support an attentive driver rather than replace one.
