Originally launched as a sibling to the Berlingo van, it has since evolved into a standalone model focused on everyday usability, interior space and comfort for passengers.
Now in its third generation, the Berlingo MPV shares a lot of its design with the Peugeot Rifter and Vauxhall Combo Life but keeps Citroen’s signature approach to ride comfort and interior design.

The diesel option features a 1.5-litre BlueHDi engine with a choice of 100-130bhp and an 8-speed automatic, returning up to 54.8mpg (WLTP).The e‑Berlingo uses a 52kWh battery and 136bhp electric motor, delivering a range of up to 213 miles (WLTP). It supports 100kW rapid charging, so you can top up from 0–80% in around 30 minutes.
The Citroen Berlingo has a distinctive, upright design that puts practicality first without losing personality. Its high roofline and wide body give it a confident stance, while neat touches like the Airbump panels and bold front grille keep it looking modern. LED daytime running lights and sliding side doors come as standard.
Go for the Max trim and you’ll get 17-inch Topaz alloy wheels, body-coloured bumpers, gloss roof rails, tinted windows extra, chrome details and electric heated power folding door mirrors for a more refined look.
Inside, the Berlingo feels bright, spacious and built for everyday life. There’s plenty of headroom, a flat floor, and sliding side doors. The interior is simple but functional, with thoughtful storage dotted around the cabin.
Standard features include an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, manual air conditioning, and electric front windows. The higher trim add independent rear seats with headrests, Citroen’s Connect Nav, automatic climate control, and extra touches like a leather steering wheel.
Safety systems are robust and includes lane departure warning, speed limit recognition, driver attention alert, rear parking sensors and autonomous emergency braking.
Move up to the Max trim and you’ll get front parking sensors and a reversing camera for better visibility, along with additional driver assistance features like blind spot monitoring and active lane keeping assist. ISOFIX mounts on the outer rear seats help keep child seats secure.
