Citroen C3
The Citroen C3 is a supermini that displays all the design flair and French attitude that Citroen is famous for.
Many people will know the ‘C3’ model that Citroen produces, as it has now been around for over 16-years, with the first C3 rolling off production lines back in 2002. The current and third generation of C3 is drastically different to that first model, it has had to move with the times as Citroen’s design has changed and is easily one of the French firm’s most important products.
Around 3,000,000 C3’s have been produced since it first arrived on the market, a sign of just how popular this little French car has been, and the latest generation – introduced in 2016 – is very much emblematic of the current Citroen design philosophy. With its airy minimalist interior and exterior ‘Airbumps’ designed to reduce damage caused by carpark-inflicted bumps.
Powering the funky C3 is a choice of petrol or a single diesel engine – the award-winning ‘PureTech’ petrol’s being the dominant favourite of drivers in this part of the market. All the petrol engines have impressive power and efficiency while maintaining low emissions and can be specified with a manual or automatic gearbox. The sole diesel option is the turbocharged ‘BlueHDi’ which is capable of over 70mpg, making it a great choice for Synergy customers who need to travel long distances regularly.
Customisation on the C3 is impressive, you can really give your C3 a personal feeling with its many colours and trim options and even designs for the roof. Away from the design, lots of equipment can be found – a large touchscreen infotainment system dominates the centre of the dashboard and other luxuries such as climate and cruise control, navigation, speed-limit recognition and safety features such as autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and lane departure warning systems.
With a distinctive look and spirit, the Citroen C3 often attracts attention before anyone knows just what good value it is. When you factor in the great value of the C3 here at Synergy, it’s easy to see why the French supermini has won so many fans.
