Posted 2 years agoThe ORA 03, formerly known as the ORA Funky Cat, was introduced to the UK market in late 2022 as GWM’s compact electric hatchback. In November 2023 the vehicle was renamed from Funky Cat to ORA 03 under GWM’s “One GWM” branding strategy.
Built to deliver a premium feel in a smaller package, the ORA 03 combines a well‑specified interior, strong safety credentials and competitive electric range in its segment. For 2025, GWM refreshed the ORA 03 lineup, adding a new top‑trim GT variant alongside the existing Pure and Pro trims.

Our GWM ORA 03 leasing deals are available in three trims:
- Pure: Entry-level trim with 48 kWh battery, up to 192 miles of range, 18-inch alloys, LED headlights, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration.

The ORA 03 Pure trim uses a 48 kWh battery paired with a 171bhp front-mounted motor. It offers a WLTP range of up to 192 miles and accelerates from 0–62 mph in 8.3 seconds.
Both the Pro and GT trims feature a larger 63 kWh battery, increasing range to 261 miles. They use the same 171bhp motor but benefit from enhanced energy capacity. Acceleration remains at 8.3 seconds from 0–62 mph, with the GT adding launch control for improved responsiveness.
The ORA 03 stands out with its rounded, retro-inspired design, LED lighting and smooth silhouette. All trims include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with auto high beam, and rear privacy glass.
The Pro trim adds a panoramic glass roof and gloss black detailing. The GT introduces sporty enhancements including GT-specific bumpers, red brake calipers, a rear spoiler and unique 18-inch GT alloy wheels. It also features contrasting body elements and subtle badging.
Inside, the ORA 03 offers a high level of equipment across all trims. A dual 10.25-inch digital display setup includes a central infotainment screen and a digital driver display. All models feature synthetic leather upholstery, ambient lighting, keyless entry, and climate control.
Pro models upgrade to heated front seats, wireless phone charging and premium upholstery, while the GT adds ventilated and massaging front seats, electric adjustment with memory function, GT-branded headrests, and distinctive red interior accents.
The GWM ORA 03 has been awarded a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, thanks to its range of standard safety systems. Every model includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Driver Fatigue Detection and Traffic Sign Recognition.
