The Kona Electric uses a 65.4kWh battery and front-mounted electric motor producing around 215bhp. It offers up to 319 miles of WLTP range and reaches 0-62mph in 7.8 seconds. DC rapid charging peaks at 102kW, taking the battery from 10 to 80% in around 41 minutes.

Exterior Features

The Hyundai Kona has a distinctive look built around its full-width Seamless Horizon Lamp, which stretches across the front of the car. Hyundai designed this generation using an EV-first approach, giving it a cleaner front end sculpted wheel arches that incorporate the main headlights and rear lights. Petrol and hybrid versions add more rugged bumper detailing and black wheel arch cladding.

Advance petrol models use 17-inch alloy wheels, while hybrid versions move up to 18-inch wheels. N Line, N Line S and Ultimate petrol and hybrid models all use 18-inch alloys. Interior Features

The Hyundai Kona’s cabin is built around two 12.3-inch displays, combining a digital instrument cluster with a central touchscreen. The dashboard has a clean, horizontal layout, while the column-mounted gear selector on automatic and electric versions frees up more storage space in the centre console.

Advance models start with cloth upholstery. N Line adds heated front and rear seats, ambient interior lighting and N Line cloth trim with red detailing. N Line S moves up to Alcantara and leather upholstery, while Ultimate takes a more comfort-focused approach with leather or suede and leather seat trim depending on the powertrain. Ultimate models also include an electrically opening glass sunroof.
