Key Specifications

MG4 leasing includes three trims:

- Premium Long Range: Starts the range with a 64kWh battery, 280-mile WLTP range, 18-inch alloys, heated front seats and steering wheel, 12.8-inch touchscreen, 360-degree camera and MG Pilot.

Engine & Performance

The MG4 is fully electric, with three power outputs and two battery sizes available. Premium Long Range and Premium Extended Range use a single rear-mounted motor with rear-wheel drive, while XPOWER adds a second motor for all-wheel drive.

Premium Long Range uses a 64kWh battery and produces around 187bhp and 350Nm of torque. It reaches 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds and offers up to 280 miles of WLTP range, with combined efficiency of 3.5 miles/kWh.

Premium Extended Range gets a larger 77kWh battery and produces around 242bhp and 350Nm. It reaches 0-62mph in 6.2 seconds and offers the longest range in the line-up at up to 338 miles WLTP.

XPOWER uses dual motors to produce around 429bhp and 600Nm of torque. Its all-wheel-drive system helps it reach 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds, while the 64kWh battery provides up to 251 miles of WLTP range.

Exterior Features

The MG4 uses a clean, hatchback profile with slim LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and a full-width rear light bar. Rear privacy glass, a rear spoiler and electrically folding heated door mirrors are standard across the range.

Premium Long Range and Premium Extended Range use 18-inch alloy wheels with aerodynamic covers, while Extended Range also adds a contrasting black roof. XPOWER gets 18-inch Cyclone alloy wheels, orange brake calipers and its own performance-focused detailing.

Arctic White is the standard paint finish. Black Pearl, Camden Grey, Piccadilly Blue and Cosmic Silver metallic paint, plus Ealing Green and Dynamic Red tri-coat finishes, are available at extra cost.

Interior Features

Inside, the MG4 has a five-seat cabin with heated leather-style front seats, a heated steering wheel and a six-way adjustable driver’s seat. Physical buttons provide direct access to frequently used controls, rather than placing every function within the touchscreen.

There’s a 388-litre boot, increasing to 1,164 litres when the rear seats are folded. A six-speaker audio system is standard, while XPOWER adds sports seats with integrated headrests, metal pedals and XPOWER-specific interior details.

Safety Features

The MG4 comes with MG Pilot driver assistance systems across the range. These include active emergency braking with pedestrian and bicycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection and traffic jam assist.

Forward and rear collision warning, rear cross traffic alert, door opening warning, intelligent speed limit assistance and driver monitoring are also included. All versions get six airbags, rear ISOFIX points, tyre pressure monitoring and a 360-degree parking camera for low-speed manoeuvring.
