It’s a 1.0-litre turbocharged ‘TSI’ engine with 3-cylinders producing either 94 or 108bhp and comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox in 94bhp output, or a 6-speed manual in the 108bhp version. A 7-speed double-clutch ‘DSG’ automatic is offered as an option on the more powerful engine. A 1.0-litre ‘MPI’ engine is also offered, but it gives you a slower and less economical engine than the TSI, making it an inefficient choice. Diesel power used to be offered in the Skoda Fabia, but this ceased to be an option in 2018, after the media backlash against diesel forced Skoda – and many other manufacturers’ – hand.
The esteemed Skoda Fabia car model works in an urban environment with its small footprint and light steering, it works for carrying more than 2 people with its roomy rear passenger space, and it can also be fun to drive briskly down country roads when you’re by yourself.
At the time of writing, there are currently 6 different trim levels for the Skoda Fabia hatchback and 5 for the Skoda Fabia Estate. The Skoda Fabia Estate Lease offers are most desired Skoda Fabia Personal lease deals due to a significant increase in space in the boot, up to 530-litres from 330-litres in the hatch, and with the rear seats folded down this goes up to 1,395-litres.
