Compact and practical enough for everyday use, the A290 blends hot hatch agility with premium detailing and advanced technology. It sits just below the Alpine A110 in the line-up and offers a more accessible route into the brand’s performance-focused electric future.

Alpine A290 leasing is available in four well-equipped trims:
-GT: The entry-level model features a 180bhp electric motor, Alpine Portal infotainment with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and Arkamys audio.

The Alpine A290 is powered by a 52kWh battery and a front-mounted electric motor, with two power outputs available depending on the trim. The GT and GT Premium produce 180bhp (130kW), achieving 0–62mph in 7.4 seconds. GT Performance and GTS models deliver 220bhp (160kW) and reduce the 0–62mph time to just 6.4 seconds.
All versions are front-wheel drive and come with Alpine’s custom-tuned suspension and chassis for sharper handling. The official WLTP electric range is up to 236 miles, and the A290 supports up to 100kW DC fast charging, allowing a 15 to 80% charge in around 30 minutes.
The Alpine A290 features a bold, motorsport-inspired design and a low stance that reflects its performance focus. Signature four-element LED headlights reflect Alpine’s rally heritage, while gloss black detailing and 19-inch alloy wheels give it a dynamic road presence.
Each trim level offers unique visual touches, with GT Performance and GTS models adding Brembo brake calipers and model-specific exterior accents.
Inside, the Alpine A290 contains premium materials and modern tech. The layout centres around a a 10.25-inch digital driver display and a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, with the Alpine Portal system with Google built-in.
GT trims feature textile upholstery with Alpine blue stitching, while GT Premium and GTS models upgrade to Nappa leather, ambient lighting, and heated front seats. A flat-bottom steering wheel inspired by Alpine’s Formula 1 programme adds a performance edge, while Devialet® audio on top-spec models delivers a rich in-car sound experience.
The Alpine A290 includes a range of driver assistance systems as standard. Key features include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking.
