It replaced the previous petrol and diesel Megane and marked a new direction for the brand, with a focus on electric driving, comfort and everyday practicality.
The Megane E-Tech sits in the middle of Renault’s electric range, above smaller EVs like the Twingo E-Tech and below larger models like the Scenic E-Tech. It’s a great option for drivers who want a compact electric car with strong range and the latest tech.

The Renault Megane E-Tech is powered by a single electric motor delivering 220bhp and 300Nm of torque, paired with a 60kWh battery. This allows it to reach 62mph in just 7.5 seconds. It’s front-wheel drive and offers a smooth, quiet drive with instant response.
Drivers can expect a WLTP electric range of up to 285 miles. With 130kW DC rapid charging as standard, the Megane E-Tech can recharge from 15% to 80% in around 30 minutes. Regenerative braking paddles on the steering wheel allow you to adjust how much energy is recovered when slowing down, and One-Pedal Driving is available on higher trims for added convenience in stop-start traffic.
The Megane E-Tech blends hatchback practicality with sleek, coupe-inspired styling. Its slim LED headlights, flush door handles and sharp body lines give it a modern and distinctive look.
All versions come with LED lighting front and rear, while the Esprit Alpine trims add signature lighting details and 20-inch alloy wheels in a matte shadow finish. Iconic Esprit Alpine models also feature exclusive design elements, including gold styling accents and Alpine badging.
Key features like power-folding door mirrors, rear privacy glass and a rear-view camera are standard. Iconic Esprit Alpine models further upgrade the exterior with a 360-degree camera system and hands-free key card entry.
Inside, the Megane E-Tech offers a clean, high-quality layout built around Renault’s OpenR dashboard. This combines a 12.3-inch digital driver display with a 12-inch portrait touchscreen powered by Google, giving you built-in maps, voice control and access to apps via Google Play.
All models come with a heated steering wheel and heated front seats as standard. Moving up to the Techno Esprit Alpine adds electric driver seat adjustment, lumbar support and a massage function. The Esprit Alpine trims bring exclusive upholstery with blue stitching and suede-effect materials, adding a sportier feel.
