The Q4 Sportback was first introduced in 2021 as part of Audi’s expanding electric e-tron range. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s dedicated MEB electric platform, it was designed to bring fully electric driving to the brand’s compact SUV line-up. The current model is the first generation of the Q4 Sportback, which has since received updates to battery efficiency, charging capability and onboard technology.
Within Audi’s electric SUV line-up, the Q4 Sportback sits alongside the standard Q4 SUV but offers a more coupe-inspired design. It provides a more compact option than larger models such as the Audi Q6 and Audi Q8, while offering more interior space than smaller electric cars in the range.

Inside, the Audi Q4 Sportback offers a modern cabin focused on comfort and digital technology. The dashboard features Audi’s driver-oriented layout, centred around a large touchscreen infotainment system and the Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument display.
Sport models include heated front seats, dual-zone climate control and ambient interior lighting. S line models introduce sport seats and distinctive interior styling details, while Black Edition versions add further features and upgraded interior finishes for a more premium feel.
