BYD SEAL BUSINESS & PERSONAL CAR LEASING OFFERS
The BYD Seal arrived in 2023 as an all-electric saloon, giving the brand a strong entry into the executive EV market. Its low, sleek shape, premium cabin and long-distance electric range help it appeal to drivers who want something refined, distinctive and efficient.
It is built around BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 and uses Cell-to-Body technology, which integrates the Blade Battery into the car’s structure. For 2026, BYD updated the Seal with more practicality, new paint choices, extra technology and a greater level of standard equipment. The boot has increased to 485 litres, with a further 72 litres of front storage, while updates such as a new Driver Monitoring System help keep the range fresh for BYD Seal business lease and BYD Seal personal lease customers.

Key Specifications
BYD Seal leasing is available in two trim levels:
- Design: Entry point to the range, using a rear-wheel drive electric motor with up to 354 miles of WLTP range. It comes with LED headlights, High Beam Assist, a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated electrically adjustable front seats, Nappa leather upholstery, two 15-watt wireless charging trays, a Dynaudio 12-speaker sound system and a 15.6-inch high-definition touchscreen.
- Excellence: The range-topping model, adding all-wheel drive for stronger performance and a 0-62mph time of 3.8 seconds. It builds on the Design specification with a head-up display, semi-adaptive suspension and BYD’s iTAC torque control system, making it the more performance-focused option in the Seal range.
Engine and Performance
The Seal comes with an 83kWh Blade Battery and is available with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Design models use a single rear-mounted motor, producing 308bhp and 360Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds and offers a range of up to 354 miles WLTP.
The Excellence adds a second motor to create all-wheel drive, increasing output to 523bhp and 670Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds and offers a range of up to 323 miles WLTP.
Both versions support DC rapid charging at up to 150kW, allowing a 10% to 80% recharge in around 37 minutes. An 11kW AC on-board charger is also fitted for home and workplace charging.
Exterior Features
It has a sleek, low-slung shape with clear influence from BYD’s Ocean design language. The smooth front end, sculpted sides and full-width rear LED light bar give it a distinctive presence, while hidden electric door handles help keep the bodywork clean and aerodynamic.
For the 2026 model year, BYD has added a new 19-inch alloy wheel design and three new paint colours: Ruby Red, Obsidian Black and Lavender Grey. The rear has also been updated, with the BYD badge now positioned above the full-width light bar and the Seal model name moved to the lower right of the boot lid.
Standard exterior features include LED headlights, High Beam Assist, LED daytime running lights, rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic roof, privacy glass, double-glazed front door windows and electric heated door mirrors.
Interior Features
Inside, the Seal feels modern and premium, with a clean dashboard layout built around a large 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen. This can switch between portrait and landscape, making it easier to adjust the display depending on how you’re using the infotainment system. It’s paired with a 10.25-inch digital driver display.
Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel and multi-colour ambient lighting all come as standard. The 2026 update brings a cleaner finish to the interior, with the front headrests no longer featuring stitched BYD branding and a simplified centre armrest design. Practicality has improved too, with boot space increasing to 485 litres and a larger 72-litre front storage area for charging cables or smaller bags.
Safety Features
The Seal comes with a wide range of safety and driver assistance features as standard. This includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, rear collision warning, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning and Emergency Lane Keeping Assist.
Adaptive cruise control and intelligent cruise control provide extra support on longer journeys, while front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera help with low-speed manoeuvres. For 2026, BYD has also added a Driver Monitoring System, designed to help detect driver attention on the road.
