Posted 6 years agoSince 1996, the Citroen Berlingo has been a firm favourite in the UK. Originally developed alongside the Peugeot Partner, this third-generation Berlingo also shares a platform with the Vauxhall Combo Cargo, Toyota Proace City and Fiat Doblo.

Citroen Berlingo van leasing is available in three trims:
- Enterprise: This entry-level trim includes LED headlights, cruise control, and rear parking sensors - ideal for everyday business use.
- Enterprise Plus: Adds a 10-inch touchscreen with smartphone mirroring, electric parking brake, and modular Extenso seating with load-through bulkhead.
- Driver: The highest trim features sat-nav with My Citroen Drive Plus, a rear-view camera with blind spot monitoring, and body-coloured trim.
The diesel Berlingo uses a 1.5 BlueHDi engine available in two power outputs, 100bhp or 130bhp, paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic EAT8 gearbox. Up to 300Nm of torque and smooth handling make it a practical choice for carrying regular loads.
In January 2021, Citroen unveiled the e-Berlingo. This all-electric version offers up to 213 miles of range (WLTP) and uses a 136bhp motor with a 50kWh battery. It’s quiet, simple to drive and just as practical as the diesel, with no loss in loadspace. 100kW DC charging gets you from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes - ideal for busy working days.
The Citroen Berlingo features LED daytime running lights and the latest Citroen badge, giving it a clean, professional look. Practical touches like twin sliding doors and rear barn doors make loading and unloading easy.
The e‑Berlingo keeps the same design but adds Eco-LED headlights and a neatly integrated charging port. Because the battery sits under the floor, you get the same load capacity as the diesel - without compromise on space.
The Berlingo is available in two body lengths - M and XL - giving you flexibility to choose the right van for your needs. The M version offers up to 3.8 m³ of load volume and a payload of around 982kg. The XL extends the load volume to 4.4 m³ but reduces the payload to 927kg.
Inside, the Berlingo is designed for comfort and practicality. As standard, the Enterprise trim comes with BlueTooth Handsfree and a Smartphone Station.
Higher trims come with a 10‑inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while smart storage solutions offer convenience. Hard-wearing materials and a raised driving position give you good visibility and a durable feel for everyday work.
Models with the Extenso® front bench seat add flexibility - with the middle seat folding into a desk. In XL versions, modular rear seats can be folded or removed to create more space.
The Berlingo includes a strong set of safety features as standard, such as lane-keep assist, Active Safety Brake, traffic sign recognition, and driver attention alert. Rear parking sensors help with tight manoeuvres, making day-to-day driving easier.
Higher trims add a rear-view camera, blind-spot monitoring, and Grip Control with Hill Descent Assist - useful for varied road conditions.
