CUPRA Born Business & Personal Car Leasing Offers
The CUPRA Born was first launched in 2021 as the brand’s first electric car, giving customers a sportier alternative in the electric hatchback market. Its appeal comes from sharp design, rear-wheel drive performance and a practical five-seat layout, making it a strong option for drivers who want an EV with more character.
The Born shares the Volkswagen Group’s MEB electric platform with the VW ID.3, but CUPRA gives it a more distinctive look and feel. A facelift in 2026 has moved the Born forward with updated exterior styling, improved interior technology and a revised range structure. It keeps the Born relevant in the growing EV market, with updated models offering stronger performance, improved range and more advanced features across the line-up.
It also qualifies for the Electric Car Grant, helping reduce costs and making CUPRA Born leasing more affordable.

Key Specifications
CUPRA Born leasing is available in three trim levels:
- V1: Entry point to the range, featuring 19-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, keyless entry and CUPRA’s digital cockpit. It gives you a strong standard specification with the Born’s sharp design and electric performance.
- V2: Builds on the V1 with extra comfort and technology, adding electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, a head-up display, top view camera and dark tinted rear windows. It’s a good option for drivers who want a more premium feel from their CUPRA Born lease.
- VZ: The range-topping model, featuring 20-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights, CUP Bucket seats and upgraded interior detailing. It also brings the strongest performance in the range, with up to 326bhp for a more responsive electric drive.
Engine & Performance
The Born is designed to feel sharper than a typical electric hatchback, with rear-wheel drive giving it a more responsive and balanced character. It suits drivers who want the efficiency of an EV without losing the sense of performance and control that CUPRA is known for.
CUPRA Born leasing is available with a choice of fully electric powertrains, all using a single-speed automatic transmission. The V1 starts the range with a 59kWh battery and 231bhp, giving it a WLTP range of up to 265 miles.
Moving into the V2 brings the same 231bhp output, paired with a larger 77kWh battery. This increases the WLTP range to up to 372 miles, making it a strong option for drivers who want extra distance between charges while keeping the Born’s balanced performance.
At the top of the range, the VZ focuses more clearly on performance. Its 79kWh battery and 326bhp output deliver 545Nm of torque, a 0-62mph time of 5.6 seconds and a WLTP range of up to 372 miles. This makes it the most dynamic choice in the Born line-up while still offering strong electric range.
Exterior Features
The Born has a sharper exterior than many electric hatchbacks, with a low stance, sculpted bodywork and copper CUPRA detailing giving it a more performance-led look. Standard V1 features include 19-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, illuminated door handles and full LED lighting.
The V2 adds dark tinted rear windows for a more distinctive finish, while the VZ brings a stronger road presence with 20-inch alloy wheels and Matrix LED headlights. The latest update introduces a revised front bumper and grille, giving the Born a more modern CUPRA look while keeping its recognisable hatchback shape.
Interior Features
The latest update brings a larger 12.9-inch central infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit and a redesigned steering wheel with physical buttons rather than touch-sensitive controls. This makes key functions easier to use while driving.
V1 models include heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, ambient lighting and supportive bucket-style seats. V2 adds electrically adjustable memory bucket seats, a head-up display, top view camera and dark tinted rear windows. VZ models introduce CUP Bucket seats, upgraded interior detailing and a Sennheiser AMBEO immersive sound system, giving the range-topping Born a more performance-focused cabin.
Safety Features
The Born includes a strong set of safety and driver assistance features as standard, helping to make it a practical choice for both CUPRA Born business lease and personal lease customers. V1 models come with rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, traffic sign recognition and autonomous emergency braking, giving drivers extra support in everyday traffic.
V2 adds a top view camera, making parking and low-speed manoeuvres easier. The VZ continues this with the added benefit of more advanced lighting from its Matrix LED headlights, improving visibility without dazzling other road users. Across the range, the Born is designed to feel secure and easy to manage, whether you’re driving in town, on the motorway or covering longer journeys.
