Ford Transit Van Business & Fleet Leasing Offers
Since it was first launched in 1965, over 13 million Ford Transit Vans have been produced worldwide. The Transit is Ford's full-size van, sitting above the medium-sized Transit Custom, the small Transit Connect, and the compact Transit Courier.
Drivers can choose between diesel engines and the fully electric E-Transit, which is offered on selected body types. The various body types in the Ford Transit Van range each serve a different purpose, whether that's carrying crews, passengers, or heavy loads. The Large is built for tradespeople and delivery operators who need maximum load space, the Crew gives site teams room to move people and equipment together, and the Minibus is the choice for schools, sports clubs, and passenger transport operators carrying groups. For heavier or more specialist loads, the Dropside and Tipper cover construction and agricultural businesses moving materials and equipment, while the Luton suits furniture, appliance, and other bulky delivery work.

Engine & Performance
Diesel versions use a 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue engine, offering outputs of 104bhp, 128bhp, and 163bhp. Heavy-duty (HDT) versions of the 128bhp and 163bhp engines are also available. Depending on the body type and size, drivers can choose between front-wheel, rear-wheel, and all-wheel drive. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual, an 8-speed automatic, and a 10-speed automatic.
WLTP combined fuel economy for diesel models is between 26mpg and 35mpg, depending on the body type and size. Braked towing capacity on diesel models ranges from 2,300kg to 3,500kg, depending on the drivetrain and engine output.
The fully electric E-Transit is rear-wheel drive only, and is available with a 68 kWh or 89 kWh battery, each offering 181bhp or 265bhp and producing 430Nm regardless of battery size. WLTP range reaches up to 196 miles on the 68 kWh battery and up to 249 miles on the 89 kWh battery, which is available on L3 and L4 vans. A 10% to 80% rapid charge takes 37 minutes at 115kW on the 68 kWh battery and 28 minutes at 180kW on the 89 kWh battery. Both batteries sit under the load floor to maximise cargo space. Batteries are covered by an 8-year, 100,000-mile warranty, whichever comes first.
Safety Features
The Ford Transit Van has a 5-star Euro NCAP rating from the 2025 van test. Standard driver assistance includes Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane-Keeping Aid, Speed Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed Assist, and Wrong Way Alert. Different trims and optional packs introduce further driver assistance, including Adaptive Cruise Control, a 360-degree camera, Pre-Collision Assist with Intersection Assist, Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, and Reverse Brake Assist. Availability depends on the trim, optional pack, and body type. These systems support the driver and do not replace an attentive driver.

Business Leasing
Ford Transit Van business leasing is available across all 6 body styles, giving commercial drivers a wide range to choose from, depending on whether they need to carry people, heavy payloads, or a mix of both. The Large suits tradespeople and delivery operators, the Crew suits site teams who move people and equipment together, and the Minibus suits groups and passenger transport operators.
Every new Ford Transit also carries Ford's 3-year, 100,000-mile manufacturer warranty, whichever comes first.
Fleet Leasing
Fleet managers can cover delivery rounds, crew transport, and passenger journeys from a single range. For fleet drivers hauling bulky, loose, or heavy loads, the Dropside, Tipper, and Luton are the better fit. Operators working in low-emission zones can specify the E-Transit, which has a WLTP range of 149 to 249 miles and can be charged at the depot, at home, or at public rapid chargers. For fleets running several vans across different sites, Synergy's fleet management service keeps contracts, mileage, and renewal dates in one place.

Other large vans worth comparing against the Ford Transit Van:
- Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: Offers a premium cab built around the MBUX multimedia system. The fully electric eSprinter sits alongside the diesel versions.
- Volkswagen Crafter: Comes in front-wheel, rear-wheel, and 4MOTION all-wheel drive layouts. That makes it a useful alternative when the drive layout needs to match the work.
- Vauxhall Movano: Available as a panel van and a crew van. Both diesel and electric powertrains are offered through Synergy.
