Hyundai Ioniq 3 Business & Personal Car Leasing Offers

Hyundai launched its dedicated Ioniq sub-brand with the Ioniq 5 in 2021, followed by the Ioniq 6 saloon and Ioniq 9 seven-seater, each built from the ground up as an electric vehicle rather than adapted from a petrol model. The range quickly built a reputation for distinctive design and fast charging, picking up awards across Europe along the way.

The Hyundai Ioniq 3 marks a shift for the range. Rather than another SUV or saloon, it's a compact hatchback, and the smallest model to carry the Ioniq name so far. Unveiled in April 2026, it brings Hyundai's electric design and technology to a smaller, more accessible price point, and suits drivers moving into their first electric car as much as existing Hyundai owners looking to downsize.

Two battery options are available, along with Pleos Connect, Hyundai's next-generation infotainment system making its European debut. That combination makes the Ioniq 3 a relevant option for both Hyundai Ioniq 3 business lease and Hyundai Ioniq 3 personal lease customers looking for a smaller electric car without compromising on technology.

- Body Type: Hatchback

- Fuel Type: Electric

- Electric Range: Up to 308 miles (WLTP)

- Seats: 5

- Boot Size: 441 litres

Key Specifications

Hyundai Ioniq 3 leasing includes four trims.

- Advance: Opens the range and is the only trim available with the smaller 42kWh Standard Range battery, alongside the option of the larger 61kWh Long Range battery. It comes with Hyundai's Pleos Connect infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and Vehicle-to-Load technology as standard, along with seven airbags and Hyundai's core SmartSense driver assistance suite.

- Premium: Moves to the 61kWh Long Range battery only and builds on Advance with added comfort equipment, including heated front seats, giving drivers extra everyday refinement without the sportier N Line Evo styling.

- N Line Evo: Brings sportier design elements and exclusive styling touches to the Long Range battery, including larger alloy wheels and N Line exterior detailing, setting it apart visually from the rest of the range.

- Ultimate: Sits at the top of the line-up, again with the Long Range battery, and adds the BOSE Premium Sound System, Relaxation Seats, ventilated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control for drivers who want the most complete specification.

Optional extras on the Ioniq 3 include Comfort, Design, and EV packs, available on the higher trims to add further equipment beyond the standard specification. Availability can vary based on current manufacturer ordering options.

Engine & Performance

The Ioniq 3 is built on Hyundai's E-GMP platform with 400-volt architecture and front-wheel drive across the range. Two battery options are available: a 42kWh Standard Range battery paired with a 108kW (147bhp) motor, and a 61kWh Long Range battery paired with a 99kW (135bhp) motor.

The Standard Range battery offers up to 213 miles of WLTP range and a 0-62mph time of around 9.0 seconds, while the Long Range battery extends that to up to 308 miles, with 0-62mph in around 9.6 seconds. Both versions share a top speed of 105mph and a torque output of 250Nm. DC rapid charging takes the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 29 minutes on the Standard Range battery and 30 minutes on the Long Range battery, with AC charging available at up to 22kW as an option.

The trade-off between the two batteries is straightforward: the Standard Range version is quicker off the line thanks to its higher-output motor, while the Long Range version prioritises distance between charges.

Exterior Features

Hyundai have introduced a new "Aero Hatch" body style, a silhouette built to balance aerodynamic efficiency with cabin space rather than follow a conventional hatchback shape. Hyundai's "Art of Steel" design language shapes the body around a smaller number of strong, precise surfaces rather than heavy detailing.

Pixel-style lighting is the main design theme, appearing in the LED headlights at the front and repeated at the rear. Four central dots reference the letter "H" in Morse code, a signature touch that ties the design together.

Alloy wheels range from 16 to 19 inches depending on trim. N Line Evo models gain larger wheels and their own front and rear styling details, marking them out from the rest of the range. Cost-option exterior colours are available from a range of eleven, and availability can vary depending on trim and current manufacturer ordering options.

Interior Features

The Ioniq 3's cabin follows Hyundai's "Furnished Space" approach, arranging the dashboard and seating as though they were pieces of furniture. A long wheelbase and flat-floor layout free up legroom and headroom for all five seats, and the Pleos Connect infotainment system runs on a 12.9-inch or 14.6-inch display alongside a fully digital instrument cluster. Textile materials inspired by natural landscapes and 1970s Italian furniture design feature throughout, including recycled and bio-based options.

Comfort equipment builds through the range. Premium introduces heated front seats, while Ultimate adds the BOSE Premium Sound System, Relaxation Seats, ventilated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Boot space totals 441 litres, made up of a 322-litre main compartment and a further 119 litres in the Megabox, an underfloor storage area that adds practical space without affecting the main load area.

Safety Features

Hyundai Ioniq 3 leasing comes with a full suite of SmartSense safety and driver assistance technology, though the model has not yet been tested by Euro NCAP for a UK-relevant rating. Seven airbags are fitted as standard, and every version includes Highway Driving Assist 2, Remote Smart Parking Assist and Memory Reverse Assist.

Surround View Monitor and Blind-Spot View Monitor are also standard across the range, giving drivers a clearer view around the car when parking or manoeuvring in traffic. Projection LED headlamps with Intelligent Front-Lighting System adjust the beam pattern automatically to reduce glare for oncoming traffic, and dynamic welcome lighting greets the driver on approach.

As with any assisted-driving system, Highway Driving Assist 2 is designed to support the driver rather than replace them and still requires full attention behind the wheel.

Technology Overview

- Pleos Connect infotainment system with 12.9-inch or 14.6-inch display

- Hyundai Digital Key 2 for smartphone and wearable access

- Integrated EV route planner with Plug & Charge support

- Interior and exterior Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) as standard

- BOSE Premium Sound System on selected trims

Business Leasing

A Hyundai Ioniq 3 business lease is well suited to companies and company car drivers looking to move to electric without compromising on space or technology. Its low running costs and favourable Benefit-in-Kind position make it a relevant choice for fleets and drivers covering higher business mileage. Fleet leasing with the Ioniq 3 gives businesses an efficient compact hatchback, well suited to fleets moving towards lower-emission vehicles without asking drivers to compromise on range or technology.

Personal Leasing

A Hyundai Ioniq 3 personal lease is a straightforward way to drive a new electric car without buying it outright. It suits drivers moving into their first EV, as well as existing Hyundai owners who want the technology of the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 in a smaller package, with the certainty of fixed monthly payments.

Hyundai Ioniq 3 lease offers can be built around your annual mileage, contract length and initial rental, giving you a clear monthly cost for the duration of your agreement.

Hyundai Ioniq 3 Salary Sacrifice

As a fully electric model, the Hyundai Ioniq 3 may be suitable for salary sacrifice, a tax-efficient way for eligible employees to drive a new car through their employer. Payments are taken from gross salary, which can reduce Income Tax and National Insurance contributions while giving employees access to a new electric car with maintenance and insurance often included.

Salary sacrifice isn't available to everyone by default. It depends on the employer having a scheme in place and the employee meeting the eligibility criteria set by that scheme. Synergy can support businesses looking to introduce or manage a salary sacrifice scheme, helping structure it around the Hyundai Ioniq 3 and the rest of their fleet.

Looking for something similar?

If you're considering a Hyundai Ioniq 3 lease, a few other electric hatchbacks are worth a look.

- Cupra Born: Recently facelifted with sharper styling and a longer range of up to 372 miles WLTP, the Born leans into a sportier driving experience than the Ioniq 3, making it worth considering for drivers who want more of a performance edge.

- MG4: Still built around design and character, but with value as the bigger draw, undercutting the Ioniq 3 on price while offering up to 338 miles of WLTP range on the Extended Range battery.

- Renault 5: One of the most popular electric hatchbacks in the UK right now thanks to its retro design, though it comes with less range and a noticeably smaller cabin than the Ioniq 3.
