Mini Clubman Business & Personal Car Leasing Offers
A 5-door, estate-bodied take on the popular Mini featuring famous split rear doors.
So, you fancy a new Mini, but the traditional hatchback doesn’t quite have enough space for your lifestyle. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Mini noticed that it needed something for hatchback customers to move into, so it brought back an old name to entice those who adore the Mini styling and drivability but who’ve outgrown the hatchback.
The ‘Clubman’ name originally appeared in 1969 when the original Mini was restyled and enhanced. At the time, Mini already produced an estate-bodied car - known at the time as the ‘Countryman’ or ‘Traveller’ - but when Mini’s parents company BMW decided to reintroduce the estate to the Mini family, it decided on using the Clubman name for the new estate model.
The engines in the Clubman range can be put into 2 categories. For efficiency, attention is best directed towards the 1.5-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder units, available in both petrol (100 and 134bhp) and diesel (114bhp) forms, and for more grunt there are 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engines producing 148bhp in diesel form, and 190bhp in petrol. A 6-speed manual gearbox is supplied as standard with the majority of the engines on offer, though an 8-speed automatic is an option on some models, bringing with it the capability to gently increase the efficiency of the car it is equipped to.
Currently, the Mini Clubman range is separated into 3 trim levels, named ‘Classic’, ‘Sport’, and ‘Exclusive’. Some trim levels aren’t available with certain engines, but all Clubman models get the following kit as standard; Mini infotainment with navigation, real time information, DAB radio, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and connected services, an intelligent emergency call system and air conditioning. Both Sport and Exclusive offer additional kit and styling tweaks, and the entire Mini range has access to an options list for personalisation and extra features.
Of all the Clubman’s features, it’s the split rear doors that provide access to the boot that the car is known for. The Clubman has 360-litres of boot space with the rear seats up and that expands to 1,250-litres with them folded down.
Stylish and practical with a high level of quality, the Mini Clubman provides extra practicality to Synergy customers wanting Mini’s retro flavour with the space they need for their lifestyle.
