Synergy Supports Kick Back Scheme Raising £2,200+ for Local Grassroots Football
Harrogate, July 2025 – Harrogate Town AFC is celebrating the success of its 2024/25 Kick Back Scheme, a grassroots partnership initiative that has seen local junior football clubs earn a combined total of £2,243 this season.
Launched to make football more accessible while supporting the development of young players in the local community, the Kick Back Scheme rewards clubs with cashback on additional ticket sales, as well as providing free and discounted matchday tickets. The funds earned, amounting to over two thousand pounds, can now be reinvested by clubs into vital areas such as kit, training equipment, pitch hire, and membership subsidies.
“We're proud of how the scheme continues to grow and benefit clubs across our district,” said Emily Elmes, at Harrogate Town AFC. “Not only does it bring more young fans to our stadium, but it also gives back directly to grass root clubs across our community “.
This season’s success was made possible thanks to the continued support of proud partner Synergy Car Leasing, a Harrogate-based business committed to local community impact. Through Synergy’s partnership, the scheme has reached even more grassroots clubs, helping more families across the region to enjoy affordable access to matchdays at Harrogate Town.
“We’re delighted to support the Kick Back Scheme alongside Harrogate Town AFC,” said Will Voisey, Managing Director at Synergy Car Leasing. “As a business rooted in the Harrogate community, it’s fantastic to see the direct impact this initiative is having—both in giving more young players the chance to enjoy live football and in helping local clubs fund essential resources.”
Participating clubs also received a host of matchday experiences, including complimentary tickets, player meet & greets, scoreboard mentions, and a signed shirt presentation at the end of the season.
The Kick Back Scheme will return for the 2025/26 season with even more opportunities for local clubs to get involved.
