Synergy Car Leasing has been awarded the Green Mark Level 2 environmental accreditation, demonstrating its commitment to operating in line with recognised environmental standards.
The Harrogate-based leasing broker achieved the certification following the launch of its first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy in November 2024. This milestone is part of the business’s broader commitment to sustainability and responsible growth.
As part of its ESG strategy, Synergy has implemented a formal Environmental Management System (EMS) to monitor and reduce its environmental impact. The Green Mark framework supports this process by offering practical tools and measurable benchmarks, helping Synergy to manage emissions, reduce energy use, and communicate progress both internally and externally.
Jean-Paul Levahn, IT Director and ESG Lead at Synergy Car Leasing, said:
“Working with Green Mark to achieve Level 2 has helped us identify new ways to manage our energy consumption and lower our carbon footprint. We now have clear plans in place to continue developing our environmental credentials, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to deliver these.”
He added: “Submitting our data through the Green Mark online portal gave us valuable insight into how we can improve further. We’re now looking at introducing greener staff benefits too, such as a cycle-to-work scheme, to support our team in making more sustainable choices.”
The Green Mark accreditation reflects Synergy’s ongoing work to deliver sustainability across its operations and customer offering, reinforcing its role as a responsible business within the UK automotive and finance sector.
