RENAULT CAPTUR CAR LEASING
The Renault Captur is the French giant’s smallest SUV, a Clio dressed as an off-roader.
This is car that perfectly reflects the current flavours of the market’s most popular cars. It’s a mini-SUV that draws heavily from a popular supermini, and with a mixture of small proportions and fashionable chunky styling, it’s no wonder that the Captur has become such a big seller for Renault.
Renault first pulled the covers off the Captur back in 2013, and it is a car based on the Clio, one of Europe’s leading superminis. Over the last few years, the Captur has become more and more popular with Synergy customers, something that is a reflection of the car’s market share.
Both petrol and diesel power appear under the bonnets of the Captur range. An 89bhp 3-cylinder petrol kicks the range off, a popular choice for anyone living in urban environments, and from there the petrol options grow an extra cylinder. 128 and 148bhp choices give the Captur more grunt, at gentle cost to efficiency and the most powerful engine is available with a 6-speed automatic only. A 1.5-litre, 89bhp unit is the sole diesel option, offering achievable 60mpg+ and coming with either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. Despite the chunky styling, all cars are exclusively front-wheel driven and are not intended to be useful off-roaders.
At the time of writing – early 2019 – the Captur comes in 3 different trim levels – ‘Play’, ‘Iconic’, and ‘GT Line’. As standard, all Captur models get automatic lights and wipers, air conditioning, keyless entry, all-round electric windows and DAB digital radio. At the mid-spec Iconic level, the Captur gets Renault’s infotainment system with UK mapping – European maps can be added as an option – and is enhanced with smartphone connectivity. Top-spec GT-Line gets a sportier look, heated seating and those European maps as standard as well as front, side and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera as standard. All cars have 455-litres of load space in the boot, expanding to 1,235-litres with the rear-seats out of action.
Providing a funky, chunky urban SUV look with efficient engines and affordable pricing, the Renault Captur is a popular machine for clear reasons. Contact our friendly and helpful team today to learn more about this attractive French car.
