As of 2020, the Touareg has shared a platform with other high-end models like the Audi Q8, Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus, reinforcing its status as a premium SUV.
Synergy’s VW Touareg lease offers include three trim levels: Elegance, Black Edition and R.
The VW Touareg leasing range begins with the Elegance trim, a petrol plug-in hybrid that can achieve up to 32miles of pure electric range and 127mpg (WLTP combined). This engine produces 381bhp, allowing it to accelerate to 62mph from standstill in just 5.9 seconds. On top of this, it emits just 51g/km of CO2, positioning itself as an eco-friendly option in the premium SUV market.
The Black Edition is available with both petrol and diesel powertrains, with the 3.0 V6 TDI producing 286bhp. Upgrade to the 3.0 V6 TSI for 340bhp, 450Nm of torque and a 0-62mph time of 6.1 seconds.
At the top of the range sits the R, a performance-orientated plug-in hybrid. Boasting an impressive 462bhp and a 0-62mph time of 5.2 seconds, the R is an exciting yet eco-friendly option.
The Touareg follows the same design as the rest of VW’s SUV lineup, including the Tiguan and T-Roc. Standard features include an electric sunroof, electrically heated and folding door mirrors and headlight washers.
As the name suggests, the Black Edition benefits from a range of black styling details like door mirrors, comfort bumpers, an illuminated Volkswagen logo and 21-inch ‘Leeds’ black alloy wheels.
The R takes exterior styling even further, with 22-inch ‘Estoril Black’ alloys for a sportier and more aggressive look.
Although the Elegance is the entry-level model, it still comes well equipped with heated front seats and a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel. 15" infotainment system display. Driving convenience features like adaptive cruise control and parking sensors come as standard.
The Black Edition adds features like a heated sports steering wheel, while the R introduces VW’s ergoComfort front seating for extra support for the driver and passenger.
