The 2 Series lineup, which replaced the 1 Series Coupe and Convertible in 2014, first expanded with the introduction of the Active Tourer. This stylish MPV brought a practical and urban-friendly option to the 2 Series range.
Now in its second-generation, the Active Tourer benefits from the option of a Plug-in Hybrid powertrain introduced in 2022.
The entry-level 220i petrol engine is ideal for both city driving and longer journeys, with economy of up to 49.6mpg. Producing 156bhp, this engine offers a smooth and responsive drive. Upgrade to the 223i and benefit from an improved 204bhp.
For eco-conscious drivers, the Active Tourer is available with two plug-in-hybrid powertrains. The 225E impresses with an all-electric range of 64 miles. It doesn’t sacrifice on performance either, delivering a power output of 245bhp. If you are wanting more power from your plug-in hybrid, the 230e offers 326bhp.
The 2 Series Active Tourer follows BMWs new design scheme, with features like the signature BMW double kidney grille, sleek LED headlights and 17-inch alloys. Electric adjustable heated door mirrors and a windscreen washer nozzle for the rear-view camera add convenience.
