As the fully electric version of their smallest SUV, it keeps the same proportions and practicality, with a 65kWh battery and a choice of single or dual motor powertrains. It’s available as the eDrive20 with front wheel drive, or the xDrive30 with BMW’s all wheel drive system and increased performance.

BMW iX1 leasing is currently available in four trims:
- Sport: Entry-level trim comes with 17-inch light alloy wheels, high-gloss Shadowline roof rails, DAB radio, heated front seats and Parking Assistant with front and rear sensors.
- xLine: Adds 18-inch bi-colour alloy wheels, ‘Veganza’ faux leather upholstery, gloss black interior trim elements and satin aluminium exterior detailing.
- M Sport: Features 18-inch double-spoke alloy wheels, M Adaptive Suspension, M Sport exterior styling trim and high-gloss Shadowline roof rails. Inside, M Alcantara Veganza upholstery with black contrast stitching is paired with Anthracite headlining and an M Sport leather steering wheel.
- M Sport Pro: Sits at the top of the iX1 range, featuring 19-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, adaptive LED headlights and extended high-gloss Shadowline trim. Inside, it adds front sport seats and additional M styling details over the M Sport.
The BMW iX1 range is made up of two electric powertrains. eDrive20 is a single motor, front wheel drive powertrain producing 204bhp. It accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 8.6 seconds and offers a WLTP range of up to 318 miles, depending on specification.
The xDrive30 features two electric motors with BMW all-wheel drive, increasing output to 313bhp and 494Nm of torque. It reduces the 0 to 62mph time to 5.6 seconds and delivers a WLTP range of up to 290 miles.
Both models use a 65kWh battery and a single speed automatic transmission. AC charging at up to 11kW is standard, with 22kW available as an option. DC rapid charging at up to 130kW allows a 10 to 80 percent recharge in around 29 minutes, supporting longer journeys and business use.
The iX1 closely follows BMW’s current SUV design language, with a bold front grille, slim LED headlights and a sculpted bonnet. Its upright stance and short overhangs give it balanced proportions, while alloy wheel designs range from 17-inch on Sport models up to 19-inch on M Sport Pro versions.
Higher trims introduce extended high-gloss black exterior detailing, red brake calipers and adaptive LED headlights, giving the upper specifications a more focused appearance.
Inside, the iX1 features BMW’s Curved Display, combining a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a 10.7-inch central touchscreen running BMW Operating System 8. Navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard, along with dual-zone climate control and heated front seats.
‘VeHGza’ upholstery is available on xLine and M Sport models, while M Sport versions add sport seats, Anthracite headlining and an M leather steering wheel.
The BMW iX1 includes a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems as standard. Features include front collision warning, lane departure warning, cruise control with braking function, front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera through Parking Assistant.
Higher specifications can include additional driver assistance technology such as adaptive cruise control and enhanced parking systems, supporting safer and more controlled driving in a range of conditions.
