Now in its third generation, it offers a choice of body lengths and roof heights, making it adaptable for industries ranging from construction and trade to delivery and logistics.
It shares its platform with other Stellantis Group vans, benefiting from proven engineering and a versatile load area that can handle the heaviest payloads in its class. With efficient BlueHDi diesel engines or the fully electric e-Relay, it delivers both practicality and lower running costs.
The Citroen Relay's choice of three body lengths and three roof heights suits businesses that need to match van size closely to the job, from courier and delivery fleets to trades that need to carry bulky equipment. Its towing and payload capability, including a 1,495kg payload on the popular 35 L3H2 model, also makes it a practical choice for operators who need to haul heavy loads regularly.

Citroen Relay leasing is available in two trim levels:
- Enterprise Plus: Includes a 5-inch colour touchscreen, DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, manual air conditioning, cruise control, rear parking sensors, and a full steel bulkhead.
- Driver: Builds on Enterprise Plus with a 10-inch touchscreen featuring connected navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic air conditioning, a rearview camera, 360-degree parking sensors, front fog lights, and high beam assist.
Available optional extras for the Citroen Relay include a Techno Pack, adding a 10-inch touchscreen, digital driver's display, wireless smartphone connectivity, and automatic climate control. An Autonomous Driving Pack brings the same larger screen alongside TomTom navigation and additional driver assistance systems. A digital interior rear-view mirror, fed from a rear-mounted camera, is also available.
The Citroen Relay is offered with a choice of powerful diesel or fully electric drivetrains to suit different business needs. Diesel models use a 2.2-litre BlueHDi engine, available with 120bhp, 140bhp or 180bhp outputs, with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmission depending on engine. Front-wheel drive is standard, providing dependable traction and strong payload capacity for heavy loads.
The fully electric ë-Relay now features a larger 110kWh battery and an upgraded 266bhp motor, delivering 410Nm of torque. It has a range of up to 262 miles (WLTP), depending on conditions and configuration. Three selectable driving modes allow you to optimise performance or efficiency, while steering-wheel-mounted paddles control four levels of regenerative braking to help extend range. DC rapid charging at up to 150kW can deliver a 0–80% top-up in around 55 minutes.
The Citroen Relay is designed for serious load-carrying, with panel van, window van, dropside and tipper versions available. Wide-opening rear doors and a low loading height make it easy to get heavy or bulky items on board, while sliding side doors can be fitted on one or both sides.
Three lengths (L2–L4) and heights (H1–H3) mean there's a model for almost any job. The all-electric ë-Relay has the same load space as the diesel version, with a discreet front charging port for convenience, although payload is reduced.
Available optional extras for the Citroen Relay exterior include a Worksite pack, adding mud and snow tyres, uprated double-leaf rear suspension, a spare wheel, and wheelarch mouldings for operators working on rougher surfaces. Drivers can also specify a second sliding side door and rear doors that open to 270 degrees rather than the standard 180, both useful for tight loading bays.
The Relay’s cab is built for comfort and practicality, with durable materials, plenty of storage and a clear, simple layout. A height-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support comes as standard, along with a dual passenger seat that hides extra storage underneath.
Enterprise Plus trim comes with air conditioning, cruise control, rear parking sensors and a 5-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Electric models get the same layout, plus displays for battery status and range, and driving modes to suit different conditions.
All Citroen Relay models come with a solid set of safety equipment, including ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, and a driver’s airbag. Enterprise Plus trim adds useful extras like rear parking sensors to make manoeuvring easier. Higher-spec safety options include lane departure warning, automatic lights and wipers, and a reversing camera for added visibility.
