The JAECOO 8 expands the line-up with a larger, more family-focused SUV and introduces the brand’s flagship seven-seat option. It features the latest version of JAECOO’s plug-in hybrid system, offering an electric-only driving range of up to 83 miles (WLTP). With flexible seating for six or seven passengers and a focus on comfort and practicality, the JAECOO 8 is designed to suit both everyday family use and longer journeys.

JAECOO 8 leasing is available in two trims.
- Luxury: Comes with seven seats and a strong level of standard equipment. Features include 20-inch aluminium alloy wheels, a 540° surround view camera and a Sony 14-speaker audio system with headrest speakers. It also includes active noise cancellation, Continuous Damping Control (CDC) adaptive suspension and an eCall emergency assistance system.
- Executive: Builds on the Luxury specification and adds a more premium six-seat interior layout. Additional features include suede trim for the headliner, a heated steering wheel and real leather upholstery.
JAECOO 8 leasing is powered by Chery’s Super Hybrid System (SHS), which uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 34.4kWh battery and three electric motors. One motor sits on each axle, while a third is integrated into the gearbox to support regenerative braking and improve efficiency.
Combined output is 422bhp and 428lb ft of torque, helping the JAECOO 8 accelerate from 0–62mph in 5.8 seconds. The plug-in hybrid system also delivers an electric-only driving range of up to 83 miles (WLTP), while total range can exceed 700 miles when the petrol engine and battery work together. The battery supports DC rapid charging up to 40kW, allowing it to recharge from 30 to 80% in around 20 minutes.
The JAECOO 8 follows the same bold SUV styling seen on the JAECOO 7, including a large front grille, slim LED lights and a full-width rear light bar. As the larger model in the range, its design is slightly smoother and more rounded while keeping the upright proportions expected of a seven-seat SUV. Standard equipment includes 20-inch aluminium alloy wheels and a 540° surround view camera to help when manoeuvring.
Inside, the JAECOO 8 focuses on comfort and practicality, with seating for six or seven passengers depending on trim. Luxury models come with a traditional seven-seat layout, while Executive versions feature a six-seat configuration with two individual captain’s chairs in the second row for added comfort. The cabin also includes a Sony 14-speaker audio system with integrated headrest speakers. Executive models add real leather upholstery, suede trim across the headliner and pillars, and a heated steering wheel.
The JAECOO 8 includes a range of driver assistance systems designed to improve safety and confidence on the road. A 540° surround view camera helps provide a clearer view when manoeuvring, while an eCall emergency assistance system is included as standard. Features such as Continuous Damping Control (CDC) adaptive suspension and active noise cancellation also help deliver a smoother and more controlled driving experience.
