JAECOO forms part of the Chery Automotive Group and focuses on producing modern SUVs with strong technology and practical interiors. The JAECOO 7 introduces the brand to the UK market with a well-equipped mid-size SUV designed for both family drivers and company car users.
Positioned as a core model in the line-up, the JAECOO 7 sits in the middle of the brand’s expanding SUV range. Since its launch, it has been joined by the JAECOO 5, a smaller and more compact SUV, and the larger JAECOO 8, which offers additional space and more premium features.

JAECOO 7 leasing is available in two trims:
- Deluxe: Offers impressive features, such as a 14.8-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 12.3-inch digital instrument display. 18-inch alloy wheels come as standard.
- Luxury: Adds further styling with 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and an advanced range of driver assistance systems including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.
JAECOO 7 leasing is available with both petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The petrol model uses a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 147bhp. It is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for smooth gear changes and responsive acceleration. Front-wheel drive comes as standard, while some versions are available with an intelligent all-wheel drive system for improved traction.
The plug-in hybrid version combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor and battery system. It produces a combined output of 224bhp and supports electric-only driving for shorter journeys. Drivers can switch between electric, hybrid and performance driving modes, helping balance efficiency and performance depending on road conditions.
The JAECOO 7 has a distinctive SUV design with large vertical front grille with slim LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. A full-width rear LED light bar and integrated roof rails are included across the range, along with flush-style door handles and a raised SUV ride height.
Deluxe models come with 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, a panoramic glass sunroof and rear privacy glass. Heated and power-adjustable door mirrors are also included as standard.
Luxury models build on this with additional convenience features. These include a powered tailgate, power-folding door mirrors and upgraded exterior trim detailing, alongside the same 19-inch alloy wheel size.
The JAECOO 7 features a modern interior with a large central touchscreen and digital driver display. A 14.8-inch infotainment screen sits at the centre of the dashboard and controls navigation, media and vehicle settings. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with wireless smartphone charging.
Deluxe models include synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control and a multifunction steering wheel. Electrically adjustable front seats and ambient interior lighting are also fitted as standard.
Luxury models add further comfort and technology. These versions introduce ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel and an upgraded Sony premium sound system. A head-up display is also included, projecting key driving information directly onto the windscreen.
The JAECOO 7 includes a wide range of driver assistance systems designed to support safe everyday driving. Standard safety technology includes autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and traffic sign recognition. Adaptive cruise control and a driver monitoring system are also included to support longer motorway journeys.
Higher specification models add further assistance features. These include blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and a 540-degree panoramic camera system which provides a surround view of the vehicle when manoeuvring. Front and rear parking sensors are also included to make parking and low-speed driving easier.
