KIA CEED CAR LEASING
New Kia Ceed is now just as worthy of attention as some of the greatest cars in its class.
Kia is on a roll at the moment, producing new and exciting cars very consistently and to critical acclaim. The new Kia Ceed is the South Korean firm’s answer to some of the segment’s big hitters that also happen to be two of the best-selling cars in Europe – the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus. To compete with these, it has to be a very good car, so Kia has really put its back into the new Ceed’s development.
As with most cars, the talking points begin with the styling. The new Ceed – now into its third generation – looks smarter than ever and reflects the confidence of the brand it represents now. It’s not trying too hard to be attractive, it just is. Kia isn’t rewriting any design rules on the inside either, where the interior design is sensible and well crafted rather than drastic or conceptual.
Powering the new Ceed is the usual line-up of Kia engines badged as ‘T-GDi’ for petrol and ‘CRDi’ for diesels. All engines in the range are heavily biased towards efficiency, so there’s no ‘hot’ models as such, with the 1.4-litre T-GDi engine being as powerful as things get – 138bhp from this unit gets the Ceed to 62mph in around 9-seconds. The 1.6-litre CRDi diesel is the one to go for if distance and efficiency is your biggest concern, it can manage over 74mpg and gives out just 99g/km of CO2, making it a good bet for Synergy’s business as well as personal lease agreement customers.
Kia’s trim levels are fairly simply defined by numbers. The entry level Ceed is the ‘2’ which gets good basic equipment such as air conditioning, DAB radio, forward warning collision assistance, smartphone compatibility and a handy reversing camera. ‘3’ might be the one to go for though as it adds navigation on the 8-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, automatic wipers and parking sensors. In terms of practicality, the load space of the Ceed hatchback is listed at 395-litres which can expand to 1,291-litres with the rear seats folded down. For an increase in space and practicality, a ‘Sportswagon’ estate body is available too.
Improvements across the Kia Ceed car lease have led to this new Kia model being well worthy of consideration for any Synergy customer looking at some of the major players in this part of the market. Kia’s hot streak continues…
