Key to the MX-5 worldwide success is ‘Jinba ittai’, Mazda’s philosophy which is taken from a Japanese description of the oneness between a horse and its rider. It can be fairly argued that the MX-5 embodies harmony between driver and machine more than any other modern vehicle, supercars included.
After an extensive update in late 2018, the Mazda MX-5 car leasing is now available with a 130bhp 1.5-litre engine or a 181bhp 2.0-litre turbo. The performance these engines provide in such a lightweight sports car are impressive – in 2.0-litre convertible form, 62mph is reached from a standing start in just 6.5-seconds. The purest way to enjoy piloting a Mazda MX-5 car lease is with the manual gearbox which is standard in all cars, though an automatic is also available, even if it takes something away from the driving experience.
