Sitting above the smaller MG ZS and alongside the all-electric MG4 and MG5, the HS is the largest SUV in the MG line-up. It’s available with a petrol engine or as a plug-in hybrid, making it ideal for drivers who want a comfortable SUV with the option of lower emissions and reduced running costs.

For those looking to reduce emissions and fuel costs, the MG HS Plug-in Hybrid combines the same 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and 10.8kWh battery. This setup produces a combined 299bhp, achieving 0–62mph in just 6.8 seconds. It offers an electric-only range of up to 75 miles (WLTP).
The MG HS has a clean, well-proportioned design that gives it strong road presence without being overstyled. SE models come with 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED headlights, and chrome-effect detailing around the windows and grille.
Trophy versions add practical upgrades including roof rails, rear privacy glass, and a powered tailgate. Both trims come with automatic headlights, rear parking sensors, and electrically adjustable door mirrors as standard.
