Mitsubishi is pretty confident when it comes to its Mitsubishi L200 Car Lease. The Japanese firm boldly proclaiming it to be ‘…the best pick-up on the market’, perhaps that’s why Mitsubishi L200 Leasing is a Synergy favourite. From the early days of the L200’s development, Mitsubishi picked out vital statistics from rivals in the pick-up truck sector and set out to beat all the current records. The current Mitsubishi L200 lease is the 5th series of the popular pick-up and has existed in various forms under various names around the world since 1978. Like a fine Japanese whisky, the L200 has consistently improved with age as Mitsubishi’s engineers find new ways to outdo themselves with each generation. The new L200 is powered by a new 178bhp 2.4-litre diesel engine that puts out up to 430Nm of torque. This combined with its all-wheel drive system gives it a towing capacity of 4,090kg – a class leading number.
That new 2.4-litre engine delivers some of the best economy figures on the market thanks to the use of aluminium in the L200’s body – expect to see 35-40mpg in everyday driving. On the road you can switch between front-wheel and all-wheel drive thanks to Mitsubishi’s ‘Super Select 4x4’ switch which means when conditions aren’t poor you can save on fuel by running two fewer wheels. When exploring terrain away from the roads, you’ll find the L200 to be one of the most capable off-road vehicles on the market. It can scale and descend incredibly steep slopes, pull through deep mud and wade to a depth of 70cm. Thanks to clever onboard computing technology, it’s also remarkably easy to do this, as the L200 can sense when it needs to move torque around the wheels and control traction.
Inside your lease Mitsubishi L200, the cabin has a bit more luxury than former models. On some models you can get leather seats, dual-zone climate control, and touchscreen infotainment systems. The materials inside are good quality but are work-orientated in design and appearance – so should proof to be sturdy over a long period of time.
