This iconic supermini has been around since 1957 and had a massive renaissance from 2007 onwards when Fiat brought the model back and introduced a whole new generation of people to the 500 image. Time moves ever onwards though, and Fiat has to keep the 500 fresh, fun, and modern. Enter then, the Fiat 500 electric, an all-electric version of the Fiat 500 which is drastically different to the combustion-engined model we’ve all come to know and love.
Now, immediately, anyone well-versed in the existing Fiat 500 models will notice from the get-go that the electric Fiat 500 lease is different. The exterior design is certainly still retro-inspired, and it’s definitely sporting that quintessential 500 look, but some modern touches have been added with the front and rear lights and branding to give it a slightly more modern look. Still, the side indicators are definitely 1950s-inspired and the styling overall is a natural evolution for the car.
The styling overhaul continues inside too, with new high-fashion-inspired trim and a large new infotainment screen dominating the dashboard. There’s definitely a bit of Milanese swagger in the cabin now, not that the designers in Turin would be too happy to hear that, the two Northern powerhouse cities of Italy certainly share a rivalry.
