JAECOO forms part of the Chery Automotive Group and focuses on producing modern SUVs with strong technology and practical interiors. The JAECOO 7 introduces the brand to the UK market with a well-equipped mid-size SUV designed for both family drivers and company car users.
Positioned as a core model in the line-up, the JAECOO 7 sits in the middle of the brand’s expanding SUV range. Since its launch, it has been joined by the JAECOO 5, a smaller and more compact SUV, and the larger JAECOO 8, which offers additional space and more premium features.
The Jaecoo 7's generous standard equipment list across the range, including a panoramic sunroof and a large central touchscreen, suits drivers who want a well-equipped family SUV without the premium price tag. The plug-in hybrid's 56-mile electric-only range also makes it a practical choice for commuters who can charge at home and want to cover most journeys without relying too heavily on the petrol engine.

JAECOO 7 leasing is available in four trims:
- Pure: The entry point to the SHS-H full hybrid line-up, with tweed-effect cloth upholstery, a 13.2-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control and front and rear parking sensors as standard.
- Deluxe: Offers impressive features, such as a 13.2-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument display. 19-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof come as standard.
- Luxury: Adds further styling with 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and an advanced range of driver assistance systems including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.
- Black Luxury: Available exclusively as a plug-in hybrid, taking Luxury trim as its base and adding a full black styling pack that covers the grille, mirrors, roof, alloy wheels and roof rails, along with an interior black headliner and sun visors.
JAECOO 7 leasing is available with both petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The petrol model uses a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 147bhp. It is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for smooth gear changes and responsive acceleration. Front-wheel drive comes as standard, while some versions are available with an intelligent all-wheel drive system for improved traction.
The plug-in hybrid version combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor and battery system. It produces a combined output of 204bhp and supports electric-only driving for shorter journeys. Drivers can switch between electric, hybrid and performance driving modes, helping balance efficiency and performance depending on road conditions.
The JAECOO 7 has a distinctive SUV design with a large vertical front grille, slim LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. A full-width rear LED light bar, integrated roof rails, flush-style door handles, power-folding door mirrors and a raised SUV ride height feature across the range, along with a powered tailgate as standard.
All Jaecoo 7 models come with 19-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof as standard. Beyond the no-cost white finish, available optional extras include a wider choice of exterior paint colours, contrasting roofs, and all-wheel drive on Luxury trim only.
The JAECOO 7 features a modern interior with a large central touchscreen and digital driver display. A choice of 13.2 or 14.8-inch infotainment screens sit at the centre of the dashboard, controlling navigation, media, and vehicle settings. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with wireless smartphone charging.
Deluxe trim comes with heated and electrically adjustable front seats, a 13.2-inch portrait touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver display as standard. Stepping up to Luxury trim adds ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display and a larger 14.8-inch touchscreen, along with an upgraded eight-speaker Sony sound system in place of Deluxe's six.
The JAECOO 7 includes a wide range of driver assistance systems designed to support safe everyday driving. Standard safety technology includes autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring and a 540-degree panoramic camera system. Adaptive cruise control and a driver monitoring system are also included to support longer motorway journeys.
Higher specification models add rear cross traffic alert for further assistance when reversing.
