MERCEDES-BENZ V-CLASS
As luxurious as MPV’s and small camper vans get, the V-Class is perfect for business and pleasure.
There are really two kinds of Mercedes-Benz V-Class. The first is often seen deployed as a luxurious shuttle for VIPs and business people at events and airports, this is the standard V-Class in its MPV form, seating up to 5 people in luxury and helping them get from place A to place B quickly and comfortably. The other V-Class model is known as the ‘Marco Polo’ - a glamorous, well-equipped camper van.
The former makes for an excellent business car for transporting people in class, luxury and comfort and this is its primary objective. Seating is configurable according to requirements of Synergy customers. All layouts are roomy, and the seats come in Nappa Leather as standard, with huge amounts of leg and head room for passengers and even fold-out tables. A large sliding door allows passengers to enter and exit comfortably and when the seats aren’t in use, they can be removed from the V-Class entirely if large loads are needed to be carried.
Powering the V-Class is Mercedes’ 2.1-litre turbo diesel engine available in 2 states of tune – 160bhp or 187bhp. Both engines produce very similar statistics – the 160bhp (badged as V220d) gives out 163g/km of CO2 and can achieve around 49mpg, whereas the 187bhp (badged as V250d) gives out 166g/km of CO2 and hits around 44mpg in fuel efficiency. Both engines come with a 7-speed automatic gearbox and are rear-wheel driven.
If you’re the kind of Synergy customer who loves to travel and embark on adventures, the Marco Polo may well appeal, being a hugely luxurious camper van with a fantastic array of equipment and camping tools. There’s a wardrobe and seat stowage compartment, a fully-equipped kitchenette, a hob with two gas burners, a sink, an electric pop-up roof with a two-seater bed, and a luxurious two-seater couch with an extendable bed. In all, this allows the Marco Polo V-Class to allow up to 4 people to travel and camp together.
If you’re looking for the pinnacle of luxury in an MPV or camper van, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class is where you need to look. It’s very well equipped, spacious, versatile and in Marco Polo form, a hotel room on wheels.
