Synergy Car Leasing ESG update November 2025

Synergy has published its first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) update, reflecting the progress made since launching our employee-led sustainability strategy earlier this year.

Our People’s Forum, made up of colleagues from across the business, continues to play a central role in shaping our approach and ensuring our ESG activity reflects the values of our team and the needs of our customers and community.

Environmentally, we continue to support the transition to EV’s, with 38% of all cars delivered in FY25 being fully electric. We introduced a new Cycle-to-Work scheme in July, achieved Green Mark Level 2 accreditation, and published our first Streamlined Energy and Carbon Report, supported by the installation of EV chargers and a move to green electricity tariffs.

Socially, Synergy maintained its 2-Star Best Companies rating for outstanding employee engagement. Our People’s Forum delivered a full programme of cultural, wellbeing and fundraising activities, including the Great Knaresborough Bed Race, raising £1,650 for The National Autistic Society. We also continued to invest in training and delivered events supporting mental health, diversity and inclusion.

In our local community, we partnered with Harrogate Town AFC to support the Kick Back Scheme, helping young grassroots players access matchday experiences and fundraising opportunities.

On governance, we continued to prioritise fair value and responsible operations. This includes compliance with Consumer Duty, maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus, and upholding BVRLA standards. Synergy also celebrated a successful year at the 2025 Broker News Awards, winning four categories including Broker of the Year for the second time.

Synergy’s Managing Director, Will Voisey, said:

“We’re pleased to be reporting for the first time on the progress made towards our ESG commitments and have plans in place to keep up with the good work we’ve started.

Our people have driven this strategy from day one. Their ideas, commitment and enthusiasm continue to shape the way we support our customers, our community and our environmental goals. Synergy will keep monitoring this progress and update the strategy annually to build on the strong foundations we’ve made throughout 2025.”
