Originally developed by Chinese manufacturer Chery, it was the first vehicle to adopt OMODA’s “Art in Motion” design philosophy with an approach focused on sharp lines, striking lighting, and futuristic detailing.
As the smallest SUV in the range, it’s positioned just below the larger OMODA 9, and has played a key role in establishing OMODA’s presence in global markets. With a choice of efficient petrol or fully electric powertrains, the OMODA 5 delivers strong everyday performance, low running costs, and a modern interior packed with features. All models come well equipped, with digital displays, advanced safety systems, and flexible space for family or business use.

- Noble: Builds on Comfort trim with 19-inch black alloy wheels, panoramic glass sunroof, 360-degree surround view camera, heated and ventilated front seats, powered tailgate, ambient interior lighting, electric passenger seat adjustment, and a Sony premium sound system.
The OMODA 5 comes with a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine as standard, delivering 147bhp and 275Nm of torque. This is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Combined fuel economy is rated at up to 36.6mpg (WLTP), with CO₂ emissions starting from 168g/km depending on specification.
The all-electric OMODA E5 delivers up to 204bhp and a WLTP range of around 267 miles, powered by a 61kWh battery. The E5 supports both AC and DC rapid charging.
The OMODA 5 has been designed with striking, coupe-inspired styling that sets it apart in the compact SUV market. Its bold diamond-pattern grille and slim LED headlights create a sharp, modern front profile, while a sweeping roofline and full-width LED rear light bar give it a distinctive look.
As standard, the Comfort trim includes 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, roof rails, and a sporty rear spoiler. Moving up to the Noble trim adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass sunroof, a powered tailgate, and chrome detailing for an extra premium finish.
Inside, the OMODA 5 brings a renewed dashboard design, updated door trims and improved ergonomics. As standard, it comes with Twin 12.3-inch digital displays stretch across the dashboard, combining a fully digital driver’s display with an intuitive infotainment system. Practicality is strong, with up to 380 litres of boot space in petrol versions and around 370 litres in the electric model, expandable when the rear seats are folded.
In the Comfort trim, you’ll find heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, electric driver’s seat adjustment, and ambient lighting. The Noble trim takes things further with ventilated front seats, added heated rear seats, electric passenger seat adjustment, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium Sony 8 sound system for a more luxurious driving experience.
Standard features come with autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a reversing camera with dynamic guidelines.
