BYD Ti 7 Business & Personal Car Leasing Offers
The BYD Ti 7 has been one of the most anticipated new cars of 2026. In China, it passed 200,000 sales within ten months of going on sale, and it’s now the best-selling model from Fangchengbao, the group’s premium SUV brand. It arrives in the UK as the first seven-seater from BYD, positioned above the Seal U and Sealion 7, and its three-row layout was developed specifically for the UK and Europe.
Most of the attention has focused on its looks. The square-edged body, chunky wheel arches, and side-opening rear door have drawn plenty of comparisons with the Land Rover Defender, although the Ti 7 takes a very different approach underneath. Its DM-p plug-in hybrid system pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors for 408bhp and all-wheel drive. A 35.6kWh Blade Battery provides a WLTP electric-only range of up to 74 miles, comfortably more than the Defender plug-in hybrid can manage.
For business customers, seven seats, all-wheel drive, and plug-in hybrid efficiency make the Ti 7 a credible choice for company car drivers and directors. Personal customers get a large, stylish family SUV, and every UK car comes in Excellence AWD specification, which includes leather upholstery, a panoramic glass roof, and an in-car refrigerator as standard.
- Body Type: SUV

Key Specifications
The BYD Ti 7 comes in a single trim in the UK, Excellence:
- Excellence: The only trim offered in the UK, includes 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, and an 18-speaker sound system. Leather upholstery is available in black, light grey, or brown, and the front and outer second-row seats are heated and ventilated. Three-zone climate control lets each row set its own temperature, and an in-car refrigerator sits between the front seats.
Six exterior colours are available. Starlight Silver is the standard finish, and Mountain Green, Obsidian Black, Jade Green, and Titanium Grey are cost options. Matte Titanium Grey is the premium paint choice. Availability can vary based on current manufacturer ordering options.
Engine & Performance
The BYD Ti 7 is a plug-in hybrid, and every UK car uses BYD’s DM-p system, short for Dual Mode Performance. “Dual mode” means the car can run on electric power alone or draw on battery and petrol power together. The “performance” part sets it apart from the efficiency-focused DM-i system used in the Seal U DM-i. The Ti 7 is the first BYD in the UK to use it.
The system pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors, one on each axle, for all-wheel drive. Combined output is 408bhp, giving 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 118mph. For most driving, the engine’s 150PS (148bhp) output is used to charge the 35.6kWh Blade Battery. That gives the Ti 7 the smooth response of an electric car alongside the range of a petrol engine.
On electric power alone, the Ti 7 has a WLTP range of up to 74 miles. A 6.6kW onboard charger handles AC charging, and vehicle-to-load lets the battery power external equipment such as camping gear or power tools.
Exterior Features
BYD describes the Ti 7’s shape as an “unapologetically boxy profile”, and it’s the most rugged-looking model the brand has brought to the UK. At the front, a dual-layer LED lighting signature sits above a lower bumper finished in contrasting titanium, and the headlights include a dynamic welcome animation. Chunky wheel arch extensions and a strong shoulder line run along the sides before the body drops away almost vertically at the rear. The rear door opens sideways, like a Land Rover Defender’s, and carries a full-size spare wheel.
Every UK car rides on 20-inch alloy wheels and comes with rear privacy glass, matte roof rails, and a panoramic glass roof. Starlight Silver is the standard colour. Mountain Green, Obsidian Black, Jade Green, and Titanium Grey are cost options, and Matte Titanium Grey is the premium finish. Availability can vary based on current manufacturer ordering options.
Interior Features
The Ti 7’s dashboard is built around a 15.6-inch touchscreen, which runs navigation, media, and the car’s settings, alongside a 10.25-inch digital driver display. A 26-inch head-up display projects speed and navigation guidance onto the windscreen, so the driver can keep their eyes on the road. An 18-speaker sound system and two 50W wireless phone chargers are standard.
Leather upholstery comes in black, light grey, or brown, and the front and outer second-row seats are heated and ventilated. Three-zone climate control lets each row set its own temperature, and an in-car refrigerator and drinks warmer sit between the front seats. The second-row seats adjust in four directions, and the third row adds two individual seats. The boot holds 970 litres with five seats in use and 126 litres with all seven, rising to 1,830 litres with both rear rows folded.
Safety Features
Every UK car comes with driver, front passenger, front side, and front far-side airbags, alongside curtain airbags for the front and rear. Child presence detection covers all three rows, and seatbelt reminders extend to the second and third rows. Driver assistance systems include autonomous emergency braking, Intelligent Cruise Control, Emergency Lane Keeping Assist, blind spot detection, front and rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. Front and rear parking sensors and an HD 360-degree camera are also standard.

Business Leasing
A BYD Ti 7 business lease suits company car drivers, directors, and fleet drivers who need seven seats for colleagues, clients, or equipment. A WLTP electric-only range of up to 74 miles covers many local journeys on battery power, and the petrol engine takes over on longer motorway trips without the need to plan around charging.
Fleet leasing with the BYD Ti 7 gives businesses a seven-seat plug-in hybrid SUV to run as part of a wider company fleet. Because there’s only one trim, specification stays consistent across multiple vehicles. The WLTP electric-only range of up to 74 miles also suits fleets working towards lower-emission policies.
Personal Leasing
A BYD Ti 7 personal lease lets you drive a new seven-seat SUV for a fixed monthly rental, then hand it back when your agreement ends. It suits larger families who need a usable third row, as well as drivers who want a large, stylish SUV that can cover shorter trips on electric power. Heated and ventilated seats, three-zone climate control, and an in-car refrigerator all come as standard.
Your mileage allowance and fair wear and tear guidelines are agreed at the start, so you know what to expect at the end of your contract. BYD Ti 7 lease offers can be built around your annual mileage, contract length, and initial rental.

Similar models to our BYD Ti 7 lease deals include:
- Land Rover Defender 110: The car the Ti 7 is most often compared with, the Defender brings decades of off-road heritage and a premium badge. Its plug-in hybrid is offered with five or six seats only, and seven seats are limited to other engine choices. It suits drivers who put off-road pedigree first and are prepared to pay more for it.
- Hyundai Santa Fe: Now in its fifth generation, the Santa Fe was redesigned with a boxy, upright look that puts it in a similar style bracket to the Ti 7. It offers seven seats and a choice of hybrid or plug-in hybrid power, and the plug-in hybrid can tow up to 1,700kg. Its official electric-only range of up to 34 miles is less than half the Ti 7’s.
- Jaecoo 8: Another Chinese flagship, sitting at the top of Jaecoo’s UK range and sharing its underpinnings with the Chery Tiggo 9 and Omoda 9. Its 428PS plug-in hybrid system and WLTP electric-only range of up to 83 miles edge ahead of the Ti 7 on paper. Buyers can choose a seven-seat Luxury or a six-seat Executive, which has heated, ventilated, and massaging second-row captain’s chairs.
